{"id":6927,"date":"2013-03-20T16:09:40","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T16:09:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.compositestoday.com\/?p=6927"},"modified":"2013-03-20T16:09:40","modified_gmt":"2013-03-20T16:09:40","slug":"3b-fibreglass-introduce-new-roving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.compositestoday.com\/2013\/03\/3b-fibreglass-introduce-new-roving\/","title":{"rendered":"3B Fibreglass Introduce New Roving"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>3B fibreglass company have introduced a new E-CR glass roving specifically designed and formulated for acrylic resins allowing for the manufacture and production of glass reinforced polymethyl methacrylate thermoplastic composites.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The new combination of 3B\u2019s optimised SE4740 glass reinforcement and TP resin system is fully compatible with existing equipment and manufacturing processes such as thermoplastic resin transfer moulding and vacuum assisted resin infusion with parts displaying mechanical properties similar to traditional thermoset composites.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The sizing for the new glass roving was developed in close collaboration with France-based partners Arkema, a world leader in the production of PMMA and Chomarat a foremost manufacturer of engineered fabrics.
